Brow Lift

Many active, health-conscious women and men are bothered by droopy eyebrows and horizontal forehead creases that make them look tired, angry, or sad no matter how happy and rested they really might feel. Dr. Jeremy Benedetti offers one of the most modern plastic surgery methods for achieving a rested and refreshed upper facial appearance, the minimally invasive endoscopic brow lift. Tampa / St. Petersburg plastic surgeon Dr. Benedetti prefers this technique to the standard coronal brow lift surgery as he believes the endoscopic surgery will give better results with less down-time and discomfort.

Dr. Benedetti's natural-looking results reflect his attention to aesthetics, as well as his extensive training and skill. He is board certified by both the American Board of Plastic Surgery and the American Board of Surgery. He takes the time to give you the comfort and reassurance you need to make a well-thought-out decision about improving your facial appearance.

A brow lift can be combined with other Tampa cosmetic surgery procedures, including eyelid surgery and a face lift. Click here to see before and after photos of Dr. Benedetti's brow lift patients. Who Is a Candidate for a Brow Lift?

Brow lift surgery typically benefits both women and men in their 40's to 60's who are unhappy with a sagging eyebrow area, hooding of the upper eyelids, and horizontal forehead creases. If you are balding or have a receding hairline, Dr. Benedetti can alter the procedure, for example by moving the incisions further up into the scalp, to accommodate your individual physical features. If you've already had upper eyelid surgery, the doctor may need to modify the procedure as well.

Benedetti Cosmetic Surgery also offers BOTOX® Cosmetic in Tampa Bay as a temporary, non-surgical alternative to brow lift surgery. This treatment is most effective when you're only concerned with forehead creases and lines, and not sagging eyebrows.

Advantages of Endoscopic Brow Lift Surgery

The conventional coronal brow lift involves an incision from ear to ear across the top of the forehead, Dr. Benedetti offers the endoscopic brow lift, which involves only 3 to 5 tiny incisions within the hairline. This modern cosmetic surgery method, in which the doctor looks under the skin with a small camera, offers several advantages over the conventional brow lift, including:

  • Smaller incisions, resulting in less scarring
  • Reduced bruising, bleeding, swelling and risk of numbness
  • Shorter recovery period

Recovery from Brow Lift Surgery

The length of recovery following a brow lift in Tampa Bay will depend on whether you combine it with other facial sculpting procedures like eyelid surgery, short scar facelift, or traditional face lift and neck lift. You can usually resume normal activities, including returning to your job, between 7 to 10 days after surgery.

Patients who have an endoscopic brow lift usually enjoy a faster and more comfortable recovery. With either method, plan to rest for the first week after your surgery. Limit vigorous activity that can increase your blood pressure, such as jogging or heavy work around the house, for several weeks after surgery.
