Instead of impacting the entire surface of the targeted areas like traditional skin resurfacing treatments, the Sciton ProFractional™ laser affects pinpoint areas (micro-channels) deep into the skin, leaving untreated areas around each micro-channel. This "fractional" treatment reduces patient discomfort and downtime. The laser also awakens the body's natural healing process, increasing collagen and elastin production and skin cell regeneration resulting in smoother, clearer, firmer skin.
Dr. Benedetti works with his patients to make their Sciton ProFractional™ laser treatment as comfortable as possible with the use of pre-medication, dental blocks the use of topical numbing medications. The laser technology can be precisely adjusted to address a wide variety of conditions from wrinkles around the lips or eyes, to specific surface scars, to the whole face, enabling treatment to be customized to the specific needs of each patient.
